New month, new goals!
After much thought about how to revamp my blog, I have finally come up with a decent idea that will force me to post more often. Today marks the start of #WisdomWednesdays, a post where I will share a personal experience or lesson learned every hump day. I will also be posting on Saturdays, but I’ll save that theme for this weekend.
For this week, I want to talk about social media, especially Twitter.
I’m an avid user of the app, but we all have to be careful of what we put on there. Whether you believe it or not, employers and colleges are looking. Now more than ever your social media accounts can make you or break you in your quest for an internship or a job. They do want to see a bit of your personality, but constantly tweeting and retweeting inappropriate pictures and vulgar tweets are not a good look.
Facebook and Instagram are no different. Pictures of you with a red cup in your hand are suspect, especially if you are under the age of 21. Posting endless pictures of alcohol and blunts are cool for some ‘likes’, but I doubt college admissions would want to see that.
Be aware of what you post now so it won’t come back to haunt you later!
I’m Kayla Nyree, and whatever will be, will be!
